Maxisoy+ Low GI - Super Fibre- Pellets have the following advantages:

+Contains highly digestible fibre for slow release Energy
+Low GI (sugar and starch content <5%)
+Cereal Grain free
+Suitable for all classes of horses
+Feed wet or dry
+Rapid re-hydration for Performance horses
+High Quality Soy protein
+Low dust Pellet
+Excellent alternative Feed for horses and ponies prone to Laminitis, Cushings disease, Equine Metabolic Syndrome and other sugar/starch linked conditions
+Excellent base dietary ingredient

Maxisoy+ Low Gi-Super Fibre- Pellets are an all natural fibre rich feed made from the outside hull of the soyabean (not the pod) and soyabean meal. The super fibre source found in Maxisoy+ offers superior digestibility (up to 75%)  over other forage fibre sources such as chaff, hay, rice hulls, etc and is readily fermented in the hindgut to produce a steady stream of slow release energy for sustained activity. Maxisoy+ rapidly absorbs up to 4 times its own volume in water in just a few minutes and is a valuable tool for keeping your horse hydrated.
Maxisoy+ is recommended to replace part of the roughage component of your horses ration and therefore increase the energy density of the diet without the negative effects often associated with high sugar and starch grain based feeds.  In addition to these benefits Maxisoy+ has a balanced 12-14% high quality soy protein with beneficial amino acids required for proper growth and maintenance.

Energreen Nutrition Australia Pty Ltd asked an independent equine nutritionist to analyse Maxisoy+ Low GI - Super Fibre - Pellets. Her response,
“Laboratory results show that Maxisoy+ is a highly desirable feed due its very low sugar and starch (4.5%), low fat and high fermentable fibre (35%) making it ideal for all horses from those at risk of laminitis to high performance horses who need a sustained energy release fuel.  For sugar sensitive or insulin resistant horses studies show that a diet rich in sugar and starch will cause an insulin rise, setting off a chain of events culminating in laminitis. The best approach is to aim for less than 10% sugar (ESC) and starch in each of the chosen feeds as well as the overall diet. By both glycemic index studies and laboratory carbohydrate analysis, Maxisoy+ is extremely safe for an insulin resistant horse.”

The amount of Maxisoy+ Low GI - Super Fibre - Pellets fed will depend on pasture or hay quality and quantity, along with your horses body condition score and metabolism.

Where other forage intake is limited specified feeding rates can be safely increased up to 100% of the total roughage intake in the diet (1% of bodyweight p/day).

+ Feed Maxisoy+ daily with good quality pasture and where necessary hay.

+ Soaking of hay is recommended for horses prone to starch/sugar related conditions.

+ For additional energy where suitable Grains may be fed with Maxisoy+, ideally at a ratio of 1:1. For Starch or Sugar sensitive horses Oil/fats can safely increase the energy content of the ration.

+Maxisoy+ can be fed dry or as a wet mash and will rapidly absorb up to 4 times its own volume of water within less than 5 minutes.

+As a mash Maxisoy+ is a perfect carrier for the addition of grains, vitamins n minerals or other ingredients to create a complete and balanced diet based on your horses individual requirements.

+Maxisoy+ is best combined with a quality mineral supplement

As is the case with all new feed ingredients it is recommended that maxisoy+ is gradually introduced into the diet over a period of 1-2 weeks.
